Westover Inn

Comfortable stay

Pros: Loved the setting. The place was clean and well appointed. The location is central and easy to find. I'm sure that without the snow it would be delightful.

Cons: The reception was unmarked and we spent 15 minutes going from building to building to find it. Eventually a person walking their dog told us where to go.

Very pleasant. We’ll definitely come back.

Pros: The location was perfect, although we didn’t have time to stay for breakfast. The room was clean and attractive and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and allowed us to switch to this room because we’re seniors and our original room was up a fairly long flight of stairs.

Cons: The tv didn’t work but it was too late for us to call and see if someone could get it to work and the A/C was noisy. Not big problems.

Cons: I would have liked a light breakfast on site, before 0930h

Pros: Big property in a pretty town not far from the Stratford festival theater. Courteous and helpful staff.

Charming getaway!

Pros: Great location to main town, beautiful, charming grounds, spacious room for a weekend away. Delicious brunch was enjoyed on patio overlooking the greenery.

Overall, a beautiful property and a lovely room.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay the The Westover. We were there for a wedding that was taking. place at the St. Mary's Golf and Curing Club. Transportation to and from the wedding was the only issue (no taxi or uber services in St. Mary's)- having a shuttle service to take guests to weddings or events might be a good idea, for those who don't want to drive to and from the wedding/event.

Cons: Lack of transportation in St. Mary's. We had to pay $50 for a taxi from Stratford to drive into St. Mary's to drive us 3km down the road. Offering a shuttle service would be a benefit.

Pros: 5 minutes from the arena. The king bed was huge! The room was nice and warm and there was lots of room for myself and kids.

Cons: Door was cold and difficult to open initially. I contacted the staff. They came to assist and were super friendly.

The Westover Inn was an enjoyable discovery.

Pros: Discovering the town of St. Marys while staying at the Westover Inn to attend three Stratford Festival events in two days. The good location, spacious grounds, and nice bedroom at the inn. And the late arrival provisions worked well.

Cons: The Booking.com website did not explain that the rooms at this property are in three different buildings. It turned out that I had booked rooms in two different buildings without being aware of it. Fortunately we were able to change our booking for two rooms in the same building. The Terrace building where we stayed requires climbing stairs to both levels of rooms, so would not be accessible for some guests.
