The Dorchester Hotel

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at The Dorchester. Experience, service and hospitality was top notch. Karen at the reception was wonderful, our room was ready earlier than expected. Room was spacious and the bed was just so comfy.

Pros: excellent hotel. wonderful staff. clean and comfortable we certainly would stay at the dorchester again and again !!!!

Cons: there was no breakfast at the hotel. restaurant only open for supper. easy to get to restaurants for breakfast cross the road and maybe 5-10 minutes away . this was not a problem. we would certainly stay at the dorchester again and again.!!!!

Very impressive makeover of an older building into the hotel that is there now

Pros: Exceptional attention to detail in the decor of our room. Great location in the heart of the historic downtown of Collingwood. Staff very helpful and willing to please

Cons: First time that we encountered having to use our phone as the key to the hotel doors and to our room. It's not that we didn't like that but that was a learning curve for us and the staff was very dedicated to make sure we knew the process.

Pros: Overall cleanliness and appearance/decor of the hotel and room was excellent. The kitchenette was a great feature - we had breakfast in our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent location within very short walking distance to local restaurants and shops. Easy access to local trails. Short drive to Blue Mountain Village/Ski Resort. We would definately stay here again and recommend it.

Cons: No complaints. Just a couple of very minor things. The incense in the room was very overpowering and not overly pleasant to me - I had to store it under the kitchen sink. I think they should have carpeted the hallway because the sound of people walking and the cleaner's cart rolling on the floor was a bit loud.

Fab short honeymoon stay

Pros: I booked this stay as a wedding present for my niece. Correspondence with staff via email was excellent and they arranged for roses to be in the room. The bride and groom loved their stay and recommended it for future trips

Cons: Watch the little step onto the floor landing if you use the stairs and not the lift, bad trip hazard

Pros: Great location. Very clean and comfortable room, and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful time and will be back in the fall.

Downtown Adventures in Collingwood

Pros: We loved the location, which was downtown Collingwood. It was away from the hustle and busyness of Blue Mountain, but still in a close distance if we wanted to visit. The rooms were luxurious, clean and cozy.

Cons: Nothing, the stay was perfect and to our liking. The only thing that would have made it better is if we could have stayed longer, as we didn't want to leave.

Nice hotel

Pros: The hotel was very clean, the kitchenette was well equipped, and the staff were very friendly. The room was quiet, and the record player was a nice touch.

Cons: The bed and pillows were too soft, to the point where our backs were sore the next day.

Pros: The cleanliness, location, reception staff and facilities in the room

Cons: I asked for two fresh cups. Although it was delivered to me, the staff let me know that there is cleaning liquid which I could use to clean the cups. It made me feel, I should not have asked for fresh cups (it somehow looked too much to ask for) Also, I will be honest, I did not spend $300 for a room where I have to clean the dishes myself. I do that at home everyday, I would not want to do that in a hotel where I want to spend a night as a vacation. Apart from this experience, everything else was perfect
