Best Western Plus Durham Hotel & Conference Centre

Comfortable, warm, inviting, wonderful staff.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and customer focused. Our room was very welcoming and comfortable. Hotel in general was very quiet, which I love.

Cons: My only complaint. I don’t like having credit cards. I truly believe that if I don’t have the money to buy something, then I go without. So when I was told that I would need one for incidentals, I was disappointed. They made an exception and allowed me to put a deposit on my debit card, which is what I’ve always done in this situation. I was left to feel like I was sort of lesser than for not having one. I’m a good person and I understand the rules but I think it should be noted that not everyone wants a credit card. The staff is fantastic, don’t get me wrong, I was just slightly disappointed in how I felt after the interaction about the card.

Pros: 2 fridges heating was good room acess was good breakfast was excellent

Cons: No cleenex in room no coffee maker in room no disposable cups at all

Pros: Breakfast is awesome, it's comfortable..the price is reasonable

Cons: Only got 2 towels for 2 adults, there was no magnifying mirror and our room was right beside the kitchen which was a little loud till 2am then kitchen opens at 7am. Don't get this room and all will be great.

Pros: Location is great staff very friendly. Great breakfast!!

A great place for an overnight stay before heading into Toronto

Best hotel staff I’ve seen in years.

Pros: This is an older hotel that offers good value for money. But the stand out element is the STAFF. I stayed 5 days and interacted with perhaps 8 staff people and the manager and all of them were flat out excellent. Friendly, professional, and efficient.

Great stay , perfect location right off the 401!

Pros: We had a fantastic stay, the staff was incredibly friendly. The location was great right off the 401 which made for convient travel. The breakfast was fantastic had lots of options and hott options as well ,eggs bacon and sausage as well as potatoes and beans. The beds were very comfortable! The room was perfect size for our family of 4.

Cons: My only downside of the room I'd say was the tub is very slippery and there is no non slip mat. And our toilet didn't want to flush very well.

Excellent stop off if travelling along the Highway 401

Pros: We received a warm welcome on arrival. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. Parking was available at no extra cost.

Cons: We liked everything

Affordable Hotel to Stay with easy access to Toronto

Pros: Welcoming staff Functional room with good-size fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nicely planted courtyard with BBQ. Easy access from the 401 and close to the Oshawa-Durham GO Station.

Cons: The room was very functional with laminate flooring. Looking at who else was staying - mostly contractors - this made sense. Breakfast was also functional, especially the coffee (no taste).
