Great stay, excellent facilities, great staff, limited view of lake from some rooms

Pros: Great location, staff were all very welcoming. Excellent food. good facilities. overall a great stay.

Cons: Room cost could of included breakfast. adjacent woodland walk some of the signed trails disappear and had trees fallen so route not clear

Pros: We loved the location, the room, the food and the staff! Everyone was amazingly friendly, cheerful and helpful.

Cons: There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was fantastic!

Pros: The Sherwood Inn's main lodge is lovely, with very nice rooms and comfortable beds, excellent service at reception and restaurants downstairs, the location on the lake is great and the resort looks beautiful. We were also impressed by the meals offered in the restaurant which were all very nice.

Pros: Healthy hearty breakfast, excellent coffee and fresh fruit. Very agreeable staff all over, they went out of their way to accommodate requests. Serene and wood like property, large enough for privacy spots, lake front , beach, paths, fire pit, patios and relaxation. Onsite restaurant with large variety for all tastes. Close to Port Carling, boutique shopping and icecream stop, museum and parks.

Cons: Noisy and drafty ceiling air conditioning in main building. Need more vegan breakfast options, hummus, spreads and plant based yoghurt, cheese.

Not perfect! But great location and pleasant lake vacation.

Pros: The location is terrific! The resort is nestled on a beautiful lake in a gorgeous forest. The beach on the lake is perfect for watersports or simply relaxing and tanning. The access to other activities is also nice. The staff are helpful and pleasant, especially in the restaurant.

Cons: The rooms are quite dated; they not only need better maintenance but probably a serious renovation. The food at the restaurant varies from bad to decent; it is unfortunate, because the staff are really friendly and helpful, but an improved menu would make dining (as well as the overall stay) a more pleasant experience.

I really enjoyed it and would definitely stay again.

A perfect eecape from the hustle and bustle of day to day living!

Pros: The location was breath taking, vintage Muskoka. Port Carlng is a beautiful little town on Lake Joseph. Our stay at the Sherwood was very therapeutic, just what the doctor ordered! And dinner Friday night was exceptional!

Cons: Minor complaint, the shower stall was too small.

Beautiful space with great people

Pros: Staff were excellent. Restaurant was really good. Setting was beautiful with lots to see and do. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Aircon and balcony were great.

Cons: Third story room but no elevator. Shower was tiny and room quite dated. Housekeeping struggled a little to replace things. Remember your mosquito spray for outside.

Relaxing and pleasant. Nice time get away.

Pros: Property well maintained. Ample parking. Friendly staff.

Cons: Ice machine broken and there was no other ice machine available on any of the other floors.
