Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Barrie

Very nice despite being there for a serious reason

Pros: Lovely spread. Everything organized and clean with staff nearby to help. I was really happy that when I told the staff that I was there because I've travelled from far to get my son's surgery and that the only reason I booked the hotel was because they had a pool, they worked hard to reopen the pool so we could have solid family time. I really was thankful and my son had a blast.

Cons: I didn't like the peameal bacon as it wasn't cooked very well. It should have crispy edges and everything was soggy and un appealing. The toilet ran from the time we got there and we had to keep working yo stop it from running. In the end, it ended up overflowing. The beds and bedding were very uncomfortable.

Pros: The 24 hr coffee availability. The gym was well set up. A quiet room. The staff were excellent.

Cons: I did not sleep well. Although there is surface padding on the mattresses, this had little effect on them being old and springy. They also grunted when u sat or lay on them. Room 508. It was overwhelming in the breakfast room with the number of people, but this was probably to be expected the day after Thanksgiving and presumably a full hotel.

Good for a stopover

Cons: Rather dark bathroom- not designed very well. Limited breakfast selection

Pros: The staff were friendly, supportive, and professional. The coffee and tea 24/7 downstairs were appreciated😊. Nice breakfast with varied choices.

Cons: The tea supplies in the room were not replenished during our 2-day stay

I stayed at Hilton in St Jacobs the night before, excellent stay,, unsure about the Barrie location.

Pros: room was excellent size, booked for 5. breakfast was the usual fair all other motels set up.

Cons: Since I booked for 5, we had two queens and a pull out couch. \

Pros: Hotel was close to everything. Staff was exceptional 👌

Pros: The staff were mostly great & quick to rectify any error.

Cons: The beds are uncomfortable. Our room wasnt properly cleaned when we arrived and wasnt taken care of for 2 nights due to miscommunication.

Pros: Great size room, allowed the family to spread out and run around. Pool was awesome size, tired them right out!

Cons: My door needed to be pushed closed and the inside safety lock was broken.

Never disappointed, always a great stay

Pros: Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! Always lots of parking. Super clean and well maintained. Pool is always warm and clean. Good breakfast.

Cons: Pet fee is pretty high
