We enjoyed our 1 night's stay. It allowed us to hike, explore the area and to attend a workshop.

Pros: The cottage is spacious, bright and has a great view of Lake Simcoe. The outdoor firepit was a nice additional feature and the large kitchen and dining area overlooking the lake is a bonus. A coffee maker with pods is available to use but there is no coffee pot to make your own.

Cons: While the 4 bedroom cottage can easily sleep 10, it's unfortunate that there is only 1 bathroom. We did not use the shower so cannot comment on pressure. The beds were comfortable but had no top sheets. There were only 2 wine glasses and no small bowls. We washed the dishes before using them as some of the glassware had lipstick marks and remnants of orange juice pulp dried on them.

Pros: Host was easy to contact prior and during our stay. Lots of cookware and spices to make meals for larger groups with a nice open living space and dining table. Close enough to town if you need to grab anything. Good fire setup with lots of chairs and firewood on site.

Cons: There was an army wasps living in the external wall at the side patio near the bbq, which made being in that area during the day hard. They also found their way inside the house which was annoying. It is wasp season, so this is likely a short term issue.

We were really happy with the cleanliness and layout of the space. It was enough room for our group of 10 to spend time

Pros: We loved the location and the openness of the living space. It was great waking up and seeing the lake every morning. Private access to the dock was great.

Cons: Need more chairs for everyone to sit around the table. Luckily we had some beach chairs.
