Pros: This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and Lois and Bill have set an exceptionally high bar. They are so welcoming and friendly. Our stay was so comfortable, and the room was pristine. We love the antique decor and the spacious room. We'll definitely be back!

Pros: We loved the breakfast—every day brought something new, interesting, and delicious. The house was beautifully and lovingly decorated, fully living up to our expectations of a charming bed and breakfast. Lois and Bill struck the perfect balance, offering just the right amount of attention: attentive and welcoming without ever intruding. There was also the opportunity to mingle with other guests, but it was entirely optional, so we never felt pressured. Our stay was effortless and thoroughly enjoyable. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

Comfortable and warm stay

Pros: The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Their home has so much charm, and the room was very clean and comfortable.

Cons: The breakfast was nice but I wish that there were more options. I like to have a savory breakfast and eat lots of veggies and the breakfast served was French toast. It was still tasty and there was a lot of effort put in by the hosts.

Pros: Absolutely amazing stay! I loved everything about Gables Bed & Breakfast! The hostess was incredibly kind and welcoming — true Canadian hospitality. The house itself feels like a living museum, full of character, history, and charm. Clean, cozy, and peaceful — I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Pros: Lois is lovely and helpful with tips on local activities. Breakfast was very good and satisfying.

Cons: Since the house is old, there were creaks especially in the stairs. 😀 The bed was a bit too firm for us, but maybe comfortable for some.
