Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Port Elgin

Great value accommodation for family

Pros: Everything was great. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - a good selection of sweet and savoury, warm and cold options. We used the gym, the pool, and the game room - all were well-maintained. Would recommend for a couple's gateway or family vacation.

Cons: The only negative thing was that we found a plate and a mug among the clean piles in the breakfast room that were clearly dirty. There were clean options, still finding a dirty plate in the same stack of clean ones was not a good experience.

Great place to stay in Port Elgin. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Pros: I loved this hotel. Not sure why we were allocated a disabled access room as we didn’t request that. The room was great though and very comfortable. Liked that it had a bar for a drink in the evening and a small pool if we had wanted to swim.

Cons: No complaints, it was great.

Perfection at its best x

Pros: Beautiful decor, super super clean ! Gorgeous staff Lovely atmosphere in the bar on Saturday evening . Simple but lovely breakfast. We didn’t use the pool but it looked so inviting By far the best of the 12 hotels we have stayed in on road trip. I could have stayed for a week . We booked the holiday inn but we would have booked the suite with kitchen if we stayed longer as they were stunning.

Cons: You could fault nothing

Cons: Only one chair in the room. The breakfast could have been served till 10 am instead of 9:30 am .

Pros: Excellent breakfast with multiple hot food choices such as scrambled eggs / cheese omelettes, bacon, sausage (2 kinds), hash brown potatoes, waffles, pancakes, muffins, warm cinnamon rolls, assorted breads for toast, with juices, milk, cereal - all freshly prepared and delicious - highly recommended! 2 coffee / tea stations set-up with lots of seating available for larger traveling groups and families. Vegan options are available upon request.

Excellent. Wished we had planed a longer stay.

Pros: Our plans for our arrival date were cancelled due to the weather and we were able to checkin early. The pool was a bonus (it was closed due to Covid the last time we stayed there). Our room had a tub as requested for our kids, and it was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was stocked with Dove products (additional items available if forgotten- free from the front desk). Breakfast was excellent! Something for everyone. Staff were friendly and hospitable. Great stay! We will be back.
