Beautiful historical home

Pros: The breakfast was delicious and made to order. The room was done in beautiful shades of blue. The bed and wing-back chairs were very comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and engaging.

A Wonderful Stay in a Historical Home

Pros: The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome and were helpful with any questions we had about the region. We loved the room, the size and the overall comfort. The breakfast was very good.

Cons: Our only challenge (and it wasn't really one at that) was that being a century home, it was quite warm in the bathroom and dining room, as there is no central air. However, the bedroom had an A/C unit that worked well.

Great place in a great location.

Pros: The Culverdene is a beautiful old house in a garden setting. The hosts were very friendly. An excellent variety of choices for breakfast and ours was delicious. The house is close to Port Dover and the town of Simcoe. We would absolutely return.

Pros: Period property in lovely area. Port Dover is just down the road and worth a visit. It sits on the shores of lake Eerie. The property was excellent, and the rooms charming.

Pros: The hosts were wonderful and helpful in recommending some local restaurants/ wineries. Breakfast was excellent and of good quality with some of the items from local farms. We loved the fruit salad. We will definitely return when visiting Norfolk County again.
