Pros: Doreen was so nice she greeted us with a fresh baked peach loaf and the most delicious chocolate chip cookies we ever had. The property was clean comftrable with everything we needed. Canoes and life jackets available. A fireplace with firewood. A bbq. Alpacas on the property and lots of space for our 3.5 year old son to play. Close to the water for fishing, close to everything in the city. We are looking forward to coming back next summer.

It felt like I was getting a real experience of Peterborough area staying at the Liftlock guesthouse
Pros: I really enjoyed the fire pit and the canoe. I also appreciated how spacious the room was -- lots of room to do exercises. It was quite fun to see the alpacas chewing away when I looked out the bathroom window.
Cons: I appreciated the size of the king bed but the mattress felt a bit hard.

I would definitely stay here again
Pros: Loved the Parkview suite with a view of the grounds to the back. Very quiet and private. The screened porch was great for sitting out and having morning coffee. The pool and the use of canoes were real treats.
Cons: Just had to be wary of making too much noise and disturbing neighbours in the adjoining suite. Fortunately, our neighbours were also very thoughtful so everything worked out great.

Wonderful location, warm & friendly atomosphere of the room and the hostess alike
Pros: Doreen came out the minute we arrived to show us around our room. From the king size bed to the pull-out couch with a hand-quilted blanket, the kitchenette with neatly hung dish towels, home made baked goods left for us, a table with a decorative bouquet of flowers, to the bathroom with neatly arranged soap and towels, all spoke of a well thought out and heart-felt welcome to the guests who come to visit this gem. Close to restaurants, amenities, the highway, and the city in general, while being secluded and quiet at the same time. Attention to detail and a warm welcome makes this a top spot for a repeat visit!

Lovely property, lots of amenities.
Pros: Location was great, easy access from the highway and downtown. Close to the folk festival venue. Enjoyed feeding and learning about the alpacas. Fresh baked goodies were nice.
Cons: Cobwebs in the ceiling, bathroom door didn't close properly. We were given enough juice and breakfast food for 2 days, would have liked enough for all 3 days.
