Carriage Hills Retreat Rental

Pros: Unit was clean and beautiful, well equipped to make your own meals and avoid constantly eating out

Cons: Lighting was a little weird, the lights would go green, pretty sure it was something that I was doing wrong, but couldn't figure out how to make them stop. A small night light in the bathroom would be nice, so you could avoid the very bright lights in the middle of the night Very minor and the overall experience was great!

A great experience

Pros: Great spot. Great new decor. User friendly with lots of thoughtful amenities. Host was super responsive whenever we had a question or concern. I used to rent at this resort back when they were timeshares. This unit has a ton of modern updates along with 2 huge smart TV flat screens and all new appliances as well as gorgeous new light fixtures! The host has thought of everything to make your stay relaxing, even a cozy throw blanket, extra sheets and pillows...even laundry detergent if you want to do a quick load of laundry or refresh the towels you've been using. I'd definitely recommend this unit and I'd definitely book it again!

Cons: If I have to give any suggestions... 1) I would suggest including directions on how to actually open the lock box. We had difficulty figuring it out. So that could be included in the instructions sent the day of check in 2) it would be nice to be left two dish towels, not just one. I will most likely try and remember to pack an extra one next time 3) Also a pair of oven mitts...we couldn't find any ( although there may have been a pair somewhere) We were disappointed the pool area was closed but this is NO fault of the Host's...it had a pipe leak so it was out of service the whole time we were there and that is one of the main reasons we enjoy Carriage Hills - the indoor/ outdoor pool and hot tubs. The host did inform us it would be open the day we left and let us check out an hour later, but we were unable to take advantage of that.

A home away from home.

Pros: We had used this property years ago so aware of the location It is close to my hometown and central to drive to Midland or Orillia. The property is quiet and has amenities such as a pool, walking trails, and now a new outdoor Nordic spa. We attended a wedding anniversary locally and it was nice to return to a comfortable accommodation. We enjoy having a kitchen and the bed was so comfortable. Fun to have a large TV to watch the ball game which we were able to mirror from our own Fibe TV app.

Overall it is a comfortable stay!

Pros: The place was clean with a well equipped kitchen (including cookware, dinnerware, baking plate, etc.). It was great for me as I planned to cook during the stay. The jacuzzi was a blast! I will definitely return for it. Most importantly the customer service is nice and responsive which I appreciated!

Gute Möglichkeit für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp (im Sommer)

Pros: Waschmaschine und Trockner waren für jeweils zwei nebeneinanderliegenden Appartments - ausreichend. Kaffee, Milch und Tee vorhanden. Küchenausstattung sehr gut.

Cons: Badezimmer in die Jahre gekommen. Die Nachbar-Apartment wurde aber bereits renoviert. Zugang nicht ganz barrierefrei (2 recht hohe Stufen). Anonymer Kontakt zum Vermieter, den wir nicht gesehen haben.

Excellent property, we all enjoyed our time! Every detail was thought of, we’ll be back!

Pros: Price is what hooked us initially, but then when we got there it was even better than we expected! Jacuzzi tub was a treat!

Cons: Pool was closed :( kids were really disappointed, we just wanted a lil getaway, let the kids swim & get tired out lol
