McBayne House

Pros: There was a mix-up somewhere along the way and Renata didn't get our reservation. She amazingly and quickly set us up in a nearby hotel which went so smooth we couldn't have been happier. We regret not staying at the house because it looked really nice. Thank you to Renata for pivoting and making our night a great experience.

Wonderfully comfortable stay in Hamilton

Pros: Everything was excellent, check-in process was smooth and the property had a very homely feel to it.

Pros: We had a lovely stay at McBayne house. We felt really welcomed and had everything we needed provided from coffee to snacks and a guidebook of the area. The room was really comfortable and the location was great for going into town or going off into nature.

Pros: The host was very accommodating. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Having the small kitchenette in the room was very much appreciated. I could keep basic necessities for breakfast (yogourt, cheese, fruit) in the small fridge and could heat things like soup in the microwave. The coffee maker was easy to use and coffee/tea/hot chocolate was graciously provided. Sharing the bathroom with one other person was not an issue as it was kept exceptionally clean. I will definitely be staying again when I am back in Hamilton. The central location can not be beat!

Cons: The first morning of my 4 night stay, I was awoken by the sound of heavy traffic on the busy street but by the second night the sound was simply white noise and was not an issue.

Pros: Very friendly and accommodating hosts. They accommodated my peculiar need for water filters. Also had a welcome pack so that we really didn't need groceries on our first day. Very thoughtful. Thanks.

Excellent value for a comfortable night's stay.

Pros: Location worked nicely for Around the Bay Road Race expo and race morning at Tim Hortons Field, as we used the municipal bike share program and the closest station for that was only a 6-minute walk away. Other positives we noticed: bed was very comfortable, room had huge windows with a decent view, room was well furnished, shared bathroom was spacious and clean, towels provided, parking space was provided, etc.

Cons: The home decor is dated.
