Entire waterfront cottage in carrying place

We absolutely loved our stay on the waterfront in Carrying Place and would highly recommend!

Pros: We had a lovely stay at the waterfront property in Carrying Place. The interactions with the host were great, always timely and always helpful. The pictures don't do the space justice. It was well appointed and very comfortable for 2 couples to stay there, and we highly appreciated that the property was dog friendly as well. The master bedroom suite was incredible with comfortable rocking chairs facing the water. We loved having our morning coffee there every day! The kitchen was well laid out and spacious for us to cook our meals in. The property itself is at the end of a dirt road, so felt particularly private on one side. The property is large as well, with lots of level land to use for outdoor games.

Cons: The bed in the master bedroom is quite high - being short, I had quite a difficult time getting into it. I realized that there was a murphy bed in the room as well, and we took it down as an option for me to use (I have a fractured ankle so the height of the other bed proved even more challenging for me), but it wasn't operational. I think putting a note on the outside of the bed would be better than inside. Also, the other couple started in one room but said that the bed had a significant slant to it (the one with an actual formal door), so ended up moving to the other bedroom the 2nd night onward and said that bed was far more comfortable. The couches did not face the TV well, which also gave us back and neck issues. Oh to be young! Finally, there did not seem to be ample cutlery, and only 2 steak knives. We were only 4 and there never seemed to be enough. There also could be a baking sheet (tin) as the baking dish does not serve the same purpose for cooking bacon as an example. A few more essential pieces of cookware would be helpful. Finally, there was an ant problem near the sink by the microwave... Something to think about or check out. We ended up putting everything in cupboards or the fridge - could not leave anything on the countertops.

Wonderful experience, lime home!

Pros: The view was excellent , waking early morning to go for canoeing or kayaking.

Excellent waterfront cottage. Great for a wind down from busy Toronto life.

Pros: Fantastic location. Easy check-in and check-out process. Nice to have BBQ, fireplace and kayak (Even better if there were 2 Kayaks!). Very comfortable beds.

Cons: Be aware that the dishwasher does not wash very well and will need to hand wash. There were no board games or entertainment for a rainy day in the cottage.

Vistas inmejorables

Pros: Las vistas de la casa son insuperables. Todo estaba impeccable y las camas eran muy cómodas. Tienes acceso a canoas y piraguas así como a chalecos salvavidas. La casa está equipada con todo lo necesario. Muy recomendable.

Cons: Estaría genial si la valla estuviese del todo cerrada para cuando vas con niños.

Beautiful cottage on a beautiful property

Pros: The property was beautiful. Amazing views from the cottage, and very functional and comfortable inside. Checking in and out was very easy, and the host was responsive and helpful.

Cons: We were expecting a hot tub, as the description for the cottage states that the home’s special feature is the hot tub. We were disappointed that there wasn’t one, since it was cold and rainy during our stay and we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors much.

Pros: Propre, confortable, bien équipé! C’est notre deuxième visite à ce chalet et nous adorons l’emplacement. Il a tout le nécessaire et encore plus! Vraiment agréable et paisible.

Pros: Accès à la propriété avec une porte codée est très facilitant et apprécié. Très belle vue sur l'eau, 2 kayaks disponibles, espace pour faire un feu, logement propre, fonctionnel, cuisine bien équipée. Tout était parfait.

Une maison parfaite pour 6-8 personnes , espace et tranquillité assurée !

Pros: Emplacement de bonne dimension, propre , bien équipé. Propane pour le bbq et bois pour le feu inclu. Belle réactivité des responsables et super gentils

Cons: Le four est très long à chauffer et la porte patio aurais besoin d’un peu de gigaloo car puisqu’elle est grande elle est difficile à ouvrir !

Pros: Très bel emplacement avec vue sur la baie de Quinte, idéal pour des vacances estivales. La suite au deuxième étage était vraiment très bien. Les chambres étaient confortables.

Cons: Le réfrigérateur et la cuisine mériteraient un bon nettoyage. La terrasse aurait aussi besoin d'une rénovation.
