Bristows Inn

Charming and well cared for.

Pros: The character and charm to the heritage building are well preserved. We enjoyed the spacious and comfortable room we stayed at. The host was proactive and enquired at regular intervals for anything that might be needed.

Cons: Given the heritage status of the building, modern comforts and upgrades are understandably not possible to be me to this property. However, certain fixtures could be replaced to give a superior guest experience.

Pros: Extremely charming house & very decorative room(s), all with own bathroom & tiny fridge & coffeemaker, and spacious common areas. Shared kitchenette with microwave and lots of utensils. Good simple breakfast (yoghurt, fresh fruit, cereals, toast, bagels, muffin, milk juice coffee tea, .. ). Laying at a busy street, but the noise was actually OK (our room had a balcony -enjoying the sun in the morning there- facing the street)

Lovely historic house with a comfortable stay.

Pros: Excellent location with easy parking behind the property. Very easy self check in which was perfectly communicated by the host. Lovely historic house to stay in, quiet location even though on the main road, felt at home straight away. Excellent breakfast with multiple choices available.

Cons: Personal taste was that we felt that some of the room decor was unnecessary like the murals on the walls and the tree in the room that distracted from the beautiful historic features, the building itself was enough.

Pros: Loved the old world charm and artistic touches. Comfy bed and linens. The old relics were interesting and charming. Thanks for the history as well. Accessing our room was easy as instructions were excellent and easy to follow. Will return.

Dog friendly Bristows Inn: A blessing for pet lovers.

Pros: The room, the bed, the breakfast. It was odd not seeing any staff on arrival . But any question we sent them on email was quickly replied to. We loved how dog friendly the Inn is. We loved the garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay an would recommend Bristows

Cons: No real dislikes

Pros: Beautifully furnished and comfortable. I was pleased to stay on a second occasion.

Pros: The place is very charming, clean, the communication is clear.

Cons: The room during the night was hot for me l, and there no option to control it in the room.

One night not enough

Pros: The staff where amazing to help in any situation and at anytime, reaching out to touch base with me and make sur all my needs where met

Cons: That my trip was only a one night stay...I could have used 2 more nights just to fully enjoy the relaxing atmosphere

Pros: The medieval ambience of the place. Comfy and welcoming feeling inside the inn.

Pros: Property was just as described and getting in was seamless. The house is beautiful and a cool historical landmark. Breakfast is simple but had everything we needed and a great way to begin the day. A lovely spot to stay in Elmira.
