Walk to Lake - Old Town Retreat

Great location and place

Pros: Great location, clean and spacious! Walkable into the town, close by to some shops and food places! Great facilities there, really good water pressure for the showers! We had 6 adults and 2 babies and no problem at all :) owner was really friendly and easily contactable for any questions!

Cons: Only thing is there was no iron, however there was a steamer.

The location was great, the house was clean, comfortable and I'd book it again.

Pros: The promimity to downtown NOTL was great. Close enough to be near the action, far enough that you didn't have to deal with crowds nearby.

Cons: A slightly more inviting backyard area would have been nice. a nice patio or deck with a table and umbrealla would really add to the experience of being in wine country in the summer. Also, the BBQ grill is quite rusted...had it been nicer, I would have liked to eat at the house instead of going out.

A gem in one of the most beautiful areas of Ontario

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed a great (3) day stay at this beautiful bungalow on a large lot in a quiet area of The Old Town and within walking distance to the Lake. The home features (4) spacious and nicely decorated bedrooms with comfortable beds and (2) bathrooms, large living and dining room area, boasting a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances. The home is very clean and tidy and well kept. Lili provided clear and precise instructions before and during our stay. This home would be even more perfect during the summer as the area is surrounded with fruit orchards, vineyards and fruit stands. The quiet and peaceful surroundings made this a perfect get away. Thank you Lili for hosting us.

Cons: The only suggestion would be to have separate containers for recycling and garbage.

Great value, great potential.

Pros: Location; it’s rare to find 4 bedrooms, well equipped, nice ensuite bathroom. Proprietor was very responsive.

Cons: A couple of minor glitches that were addressed. A second tv in one of the bedrooms would be nice considering the property can accommodate a larger group.

Great location for couples, families, or friends

Pros: The house is conveniently located, approximately 1 mike to downtown Queen Street or Lake Ontario. It was an easy walking distance. The house was clean & bedrooms were very comfortable, particularly the en suite. Comfortable seating in the living room and dining room. While the house is located near a busy road, it was quiet: we did not notice any traffic noise.

Cons: No complaints!

I would highly recommend this place based on the location, the comfort and the owner communication!

Pros: What a great location! It was extremely clean and comfortable, in a lovely community which was very close to everything! A short walk to the beautiful lake with an amazing view of Toronto. About a 1 mile walk to the Queen street, the main strip for Niagara-on-the-Lake with a couple of great dining options very close by. Also communication with the owner was easy and efficient, they were extremely helpful and a pleasure to interact with! I would highly recommend this place!

Wonderful vacation place. Would definitely stay there again

Pros: Very cozy, comfortable, clean and stylish. It was a wonderful home to retreat after a day of exploration. Downtown was walkable distance. Bike rent and coffee shops near by. Easy access to wineries. Host was very attentive and gave us excellent recommendations where to eat, which wineries to visit

Nettes Häuschen in einem tollen Wohngebiet nach des Ontario Lakes - kann man machen !

Pros: Das Haus ist klasse. Alles was man braucht ist vor Ort. Es können bis zu 8 Personen gut dort übernachten. Parkplatz ist vorhanden. Unkomplizierte Abwicklung. Türcode und fertig. Die Besitzer hat man nicht gesehen. Netflix etc. vorhanden. Die Gegend ist toll, mitten in den Weingebieten. Nett, um mal runter zu kommen. Empfehlenswert.

Cons: Etwas sauberer wäre toll gewesen. Haare im Bett waren dann nicht so klasse, aber es gibt Schlimmeres. Und die Glühbirnen einiger Lampen waren defekt. Schön wären auch etwas gepflegtere Außenanlagen gewesen.

Pros: The space and location. It offered our group the space to stay in casually and also have great access to town.

Cons: The home needs some updates but nothing that would stop us from booking again.
