Pros: Amazing place with canoes and paddle boards available to explore the lakes. Easy access to town

Cons: Accomodation rather dated needs a refresh.

Pros: The location is private but central to all things in town. Well withing walking distance. The property is clean and quiet. It is what you expect a cottage you be. Alex is a very friendly and most gracious host. We were upgraded to what I believe to be the best location at the resort. This is our second time here and we will be sure to come again. I think Lower Buckhorn is the jewel of the Kawarthas and there is no better place to enjoy it than at sunrise resort.

Cons: I do not have a bad thing to say about the property, the location, or the host. This was exactly what we were looking for in a long weekend getaway.

Pros: The cottage was ideal for one person or a couple. It is a few steps from the lake and has a small patio area with a bbq and table to enjoy the view.

Cons: They are so close to the highway that there is a lot of traffic, which can be quite loud when transport trucks or large equipment passes.

Pros: Gorgeous waterfront cabin in very clean well stocked condition with patio and dock and BBQ. Children's swings, firepirepit, horseshoes, and much more.

Pros: There was lots of things to do there. Right close to Buckhorn. Lots of fishing to do and you're very close to the trans-seven waterway.

Cons: Nothing.

We enjoyed our stay here very much and will come back!

Pros: The owners, Alex & his wife, are very friendly, live on premises and are always availalbe. Very friendly, peaceful and relaxed atmoshphere. This resort gives a real cottagey feel, which is what we were looking for. Our unit was super clean and everything is well maintained.

Cons: There is a main road close by so you can hear some traffic but it certainly did not dampen or inhibit our enjoyment.

Pros: This is a small quiet family run cottages. The cottages feel so quiet and private but you are a 2 minute walk to the Trent canal locks. You can't ask for a better location. The cottage we rented was very clean and provided all the amenities we needed. Alex was extremely nice to deal with and a pleasure to talk to. The rates are fantastic for what you get. There is more than enough room to sit back and relax and just enough activities to keep the children occupied. We really enjoyed our time here and are looking forward to our return. Thanx

Pros: This place is awsome great fishing..the locks are right there Grocery store and liquor store across the street..you can dock your boat outside your cottage..we had a latge 3 bedroom. Place to swim..with paddle boats and kayaks..will be back in August..

Pros: Being so close to the lock and town, it was nice watching the boat go through.

Cons: There was some road traffic, but that is to be expected

Pros: Great location and excellent staff , Ramon and his wife were great to us and was always asking if we need anything

Cons: Nothing fancy , for the price was great
