The Studio Southampton

Pros: We were welcomed by Murray who gave us a tour of the premises (which are huge) and he made us feel us right at home! We were spoiled with a nutritious breakfast and excellent cappuccinos the next morning after our breakfast. The next day we met Mary and another delicious breakfast and a pleasant conversation about their travels. We came as strangers and left as friends. They even packed us a nutritious lunch for our trip to Thornbury. Another note for travelers (You gotta visit the little Thai restaurant in town which serves an authentic delicious meal 🥘)

Very pleasant, great location, wonderful hosts!

Pros: The breakfast was always exceptional. Great variety of fresh produce and very accomodating.

Cons: Not much..the tv took a bit of getting used too, but once we figured it out it was terrific.

Murray and Mary were very hospitable, friendly. The accommodations were clean, comfortable stylish

Pros: We enjoyed a fresh, varied, healthy selection of foods for breakfast each morning. We had interesting conversations and had many things in common. The accommodations were clean, stylish and very comfortable. All our needs were met and more.

Cons: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were many extras as well.

PERFECT in every way.

Pros: Our stay with Murray and Mary was phenomenal. Their home interior looks like it is out of a magazine, and everything was so thoughtfully decorated and set up for a wonderful, comfortable visit. Their breakfast is just PERFECT. We felt properly spoiled each morning, and it was lovely getting to know them while we ate. The location is great. There are restaurants, stores and a great little bakery all within a few minutes, and Bruce Peninsula with it's beautiful hiking and scenery is very accessible from their location. They were very respectful of our privacy while we were in their 'suite', and there were so many thoughtful little extras included, such as water, snacks, bathrobes and nightlights everywhere to find your way around in the night. Our bed was very comfortable so we slept well after a day of hiking. We would LOVE to come back again.

Cons: NOTHING. It was perfect just as is.

Clean, comfortable, and exceptionally well-hosted

Pros: We had an amazing 2-day stay! The studio is beautifully put together—super clean, comfy beds, and every corner feels picture-worthy. Muray and Mary were wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delicious with lots of variety, and to top it off, they surprised my wife on her birthday with cupcakes and flowers—a thoughtful and unexpected gesture we truly appreciated. The area is also great—don’t miss the beautiful sunsets at the Southampton Front Range Light Beacon Station. Truly a stay we’ll remember and highly recommend!

Felt very comfortable and again, great accommodations and hosts.

Pros: Breakfasts were excellent - very fresh and plentiful. Accommodations were wonderful and great unexpected amenities. Hosts were wonderful - felt like we'd known them for years. They even set out champagne and flutes for our anniversary. If staying longer (5 days or more), a great spot to travel to many places within 90 minutes.

Cons: The only minor drawback was location - had to drive everywhere - although nothing was too far away. But the home was in a nice neighbourhood and close to a walking/biking trail.

Pros: The Studio Southampton is such a spacious location. High ceilings, spacious bathroom, good sized sleeping quarters, and the tv/recreation area was HUGE! Murray and Mary have thought of everything to make sure their lodgers are comfortable and get stellar care. The breakfasts surpass anything I have experienced in my travels, and the personal care and attention to every detail is mind boggling! Details to note: available water bottles, beach chairs and wagon with supplies, hot tub for use, nespresso coffee maker, and beautiful decor for that luxe experience!
