Guest Inn Motel

Motel was great. Booking.com platform and the misinformation was not.

Pros: I was very skeptical based on previous reviews and the price, but it really surprised me. I'm not sure if it's different management or they've taken previous reviews seriously and rectified them, but it was surprisingly very clean and comfortable. I'm a professional airbnb cleaner so my expectations of cleanliness are high and I know where to look that most don't to assess cleanliness but it was very clean! I didn't end up staying at no fault of the motel. I just booked it in case I drank at the concert I was going to and I didn't drink so I decided to go home.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the fault of the booking.com platform and not the motel. When I booked it, I searched for nearby accommodations by the venue I was attending so I could take a local cab and have a place to stay in case I drank. Booking.com said it was 3.5km away from the venue. It ended up being 42 minute drive away so it wasn't logical to take a cab and therefore I couldn't drink and didn't need the room. Because of booking.com misinformation, I paid $172 for a motel I could not use for my intended purpose and had to change my evening's plans. This wasn't the hotel's fault. It was solely the fault of this platform and although I've been using it regularly, this isn't the first misinformation I have received and therefore will no longer be using it.

Pros: We liked the drive up-to-the-door aspect. It was quiet but very accessible to many services like coffee and food. Staff were very friendly.

Good value for a place to stay when visiting Trenton.

Pros: The staff were friendly, and were good at answering my questions. Excellent location, within walking distance to several restaurants nearby. It was easy to check in, good parking, and good lighting in the parking lot. The beds were made with genuine sewn quilts - what a nice way to welcome guests while celebrating the local crafting that’s well known in this area. An excellent price value.

Cons: The wifi was just a bit slow the night we were there, but that could have been a server issue. There may have been a tiny bit of dust on the baseboards, but certainly not worth complaining about when everything else was clean and tidy.

No luxury but convenient

Pros: The location was convenient. The beds were clean and comfortable. It had a mini fridge and microwave, which came really handy on a hot day. It was so convenient having the car park in front of the room.

Cons: The bathtub didn't look to clean. There were flies all over the room and washroom.

My number one priority from now on.

Pros: Small cottages with clean kitchen and washrooms, feels like staying in home with peace, separate rooms, best receptionist, lovely staff, no unnecessary interference.
