Irish Mountain Suites

An absolutely lovely and affordable escape

Pros: The room was cozy with an unbelievable view. The king bed was so comfy, the bedding luxurious and a lovely assortment of teas and coffee for us to enjoy in the morning. The suites are just outside of downtown Meaford. It's an absolutely lovely town with fantastic and restaurants ( highly recommend the Leaky Canoe). Irish Mountain Suites is a hidden gem and I can't wait to go back!

Would recommend to friends.

Pros: This is not a bed and breakfast any more. The location was great to hiking trails and downtown.

Cons: Such a small thing but I thought there would be ice available for mixed drinks.

Overall, very nice.

Pros: Interesting location with a lovely view. Comfortable beds. Remote location.

Cons: No lights on the 2 flights of stairs to get up to the room. Light outside room very low wattage (suggest light on steps and on the landing as well as brighter light at top). Bottom step was 1.5X regular height and is a falling hazard. Limited supply of K-cups for morning coffee (suggest at least 4 cups of regular coffee per day) with no re-supply. Suggest sign on main road to state we were headed in the right direction - note: GPS initially cited somewhere inland.

Pros: Gorgeous location. Relaxing hot tub that seems like it is in a tree house.

Cons: All dreamers tried curdled the coffee till we gave up.

Pros: Great location. Quiet, lovely view, peaceful. Short drive to whatever else you need!

Some disappointments, but the view was great. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Pros: Although it was advertised as a bed and breakfast in all locations, the information received after booking, said that it was now an airb&d, whatever that is. There was no breakfast, but we found a great diner downtown.

Cons: The wifi said no service. We used our own data The jacuzzi wasn’t working We did not meet the staff

Beautiful property in an ideal location. Great value.

Pros: This was a beautiful location on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the bay. Views from the property were amazing. Privacy and access was easy. The room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was hot and ready. We went in peak fall colour season. Colours were great. Room value was very good. We spent a fair bit of time relaxing on the attached deck just enjoying the fresh air and forest smells.

Cons: We got the room with the hot tub. The jets only had one setting which were on low all the time and not adjustable. The temperature was fine, but a bit hot for my wife and could not be adjusted down. The view from the room is a bit obstructed by long grasses and the main house, but the bay is quite visible. We watched the sun rise from our room. There are spaces on the property to sit outside, but we were not aware of them until we were leaving.

Great view

Pros: Excellent view. Quiet. Easy to locate. Good size room.

Cons: Would have liked to have a kitchen size sink to be able to wash dishes. A hotplate or small counter top toaster oven would have been a nice addition to the mini fridge and microwave oven. I understand that the 10 am checkout is the usual for this type of rental but would have preferred later like 11 am.

Beautiful, serene unit with everything you need!

Pros: Loved the location, beautiful spot. Clean, efficient unit with everything we needed. Serene, comfortable, private. Will definitely stay here again.

Cons: Private hot tub was lovely and much enjoyed. Would be even better with controls for temperature and jets.

Pros: The place was quiet. Easy to find. We liked the view. Lots of light in the space. Nice outdoor space. Toiletries were supplied. Keurig and kettle were good to have.

Cons: The rooms could be numbered or named. It would be good to provide powdered cream for coffee and tea.
