Stone Mill Retreat - Rustic Cozy Getaway with Loft!

Beautiful decor. Lots of nice designer touches. Whole 3 stories of a house not just a room.

Pros: Whole house not just a loft conversion like I thought it might be. Would be great for a family as well as couples.

Pros: Great place. Beautiful facilities and well equiped.

Cons: on the main steet traffic can be a bit noisy at night or early morning

A nice stay in a sweet town

Pros: The home itself was very cozy and well decorated. Everything you could need is within walking distance and lots of things were also provided in the home. The owner was very responsive and helpful when needed.

Cons: The bedrooms face the road so if you're a light sleeper, the sound of traffic passing in the night might bother you. Nothing earplugs can't solve.

Pros: We had a fantastic time. Host was very accommodating and very responsive to any question. Thanks for the amazing time.

We loved our stay, and plan to return again in the fall.

Pros: We loved everything, it was clean, rustic and charming! The two restaurants across the street were fantastic! Some more fantastic memories created!

Cons: Unfortunately, because of the weather and the location is on a main artery we were woke up a few times from the snow service vehicles in operation throughout the night and the early morning hours.

Beautiful, clean home with great location

Pros: This home was absolutely beautiful! It was stocked with everything we needed and was very clean. The parking was easy to find and the driveway had been shovelled which we appreciated. The location was great, and very close to Elora which we spent time in as well. The host was very easy to communicate with and got back to us promptly. Would highly recommend!

Cozy and relaxing getaway!

Pros: Accomodations were very welcoming and very nicely appointed. Everything was easily accessible and clearly organized by the host. The townhouse was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. It felt cozy and reminiscent of our past european trips with the interior stone walls and character of the space. The hostess was very responsive and addressed our concerns in a very timely manner. The location to downtown Fergus is within walking distance and the location is also a short drive to Elora.

Cons: The only drawback, which is nothing the host can change, is the location of the primary bedroom. It is located on the busy roadside of the townhouse. It is loud with road noise at night. This might possibly be mitigated with better insulated windows to help with improving the sound barrier of the road noise. However, this would not stop us from staying again. The only other thing we didn't prefer was...leaving. It was such a lovely spot and great getaway!

Pros: So very welcoming-rustic-cozy!! Love the exposed stone walls! Property heated up very quickly so warm and toasty through the night! Spacious and well equipped. Very comfortable space. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the sitting area with fireplace. Great little location from Elora with all the required amenities. Made for a great overnight getaway.

Cons: Finding the property via back road and “driveway” was a little difficult in the dark at night (could have been more lit/more easily identifiable). Main bathroom - 2nd floor - sink very small for face washing. But well equipped. Located on a busy street (bedrooms located on busy road side). (Ceiling fan - found between 2nd and 3rd floor squeaks randomly - just enough to gently wake me occasionally through the night as I slept on 3rd floor “loft” area.

Very cosy, well thought out, comfortable stay

Pros: Absolutely gorgeous place. Comfortable beds very cosy beautiful kitchen very roomy. Host has thought of everything and has all the little touches that make your travelling extra comfortable. Communication with the host was excellent. They’re very responsive and helpful.

Cons: Finding where to park (driveway), took us a little bit of effort and time. The stairs are steep- we knew this as they are very clear about that. Just don’t forget anything downstairs or you’ll be running up and down quite a bit.

Perfect place to stay

Pros: Beautiful place. Nice and quiet. Host is super helpful! Lots of great stuff around to visit as well.

Cons: Everything was great!
